KP CM emphasizes on early completion of Mohmand Dam

PESHAWAR, Feb 08 (APP):Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan Saturday emphasizing the need for earliest completion of Mohmand Dam Project stated that the project would not only resolve problem of water shortage in District Mohmand but it would also help increasing power generation.

He was talking to Chairman WAPDA Lt. General (Rtd) Muzammil Hussain who called on him here at chief minister house.

He said increased production of electricity would also boost provincial economy by promoting agriculture sector.

The chief minister on the occasion also underlined the need to ensure recruitment of local people against non technical vacancies for Mohmand Dam Project.

He assured that provincial government would extend its all out support for early completion of other ongoing projects of WAPDA in the province.

The CM was told that work was underway on local area development of Dasu Dam Kohistan with financial assistance of World Bank. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 4 billion.
He was informed that about progress made so far on Mohmand Dam project.
