PESHAWAR, July 3 (APP): Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak has declared red alert in flood hit areas of Chitral and announced compensation for the families of victims and owners of properties damaged in the floods.

Expressing grief and concern over the loss of precious human lives,
KP CM Sunday directed district administration and PDMA to accelerate
rescue operation for evacuation of stranded people.

The Chief Minister said that an amount of Rs.50 million has been released for the provision of food and other necessary items to mitigate hardships and suffering of affectees. He also directed to speed up
efforts for distribution relief goods among the flood victims.

CM also sought a detailed report of the human losses and damaged property and directed officials concerned to monitor flood situation
and take preventive measures to avert any untoward incident.
