ISLAMABAD, Oct 27 (APP):Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Khalid Hussain Magsi Monday reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir, reiterating the nation’s continued moral, political, and diplomatic support for their right to self-determination.
Marking October 27 as a dark day in history, the Minister recalled that on this day in 1947, India unlawfully occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a move that has led to decades of suffering for the Kashmiri people.
He condemned the atrocities committed by Indian forces in the occupied territory, describing them as a “challenge to the conscience of humanity.” Magsi emphasized that the Kashmir issue is not merely a territorial dispute but a humanitarian concern that demands the world’s urgent attention.
The Minister further stated that India is attempting to erase the distinct identity of the Kashmiri people, yet their resilience and sacrifices remain a powerful symbol of their struggle for freedom and self-determination.
Khalid Magsi called upon the international community to recognize and respond to the decades-long struggle of the Kashmiri people, stressing that lasting peace in South Asia cannot be achieved without a just resolution of the Kashmir issue in accordance with United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
