Khalid Magsi reaffirms Pakistan’s unwavering support for Kashmiris on Youm-e-Istehsal

ISLAMABAD, Aug 05 (APP):Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Khalid Hussain Magsi on Wednesday termed India’s illegal action of revoking the special constitutional status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on August 5, 2019 as unacceptable.
The minister reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue extending unwavering political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for the right to self-determination.
In his message on Youm-e-Istehsal, the minister said there was no room for any compromise on Pakistan’s principled stance regarding the Kashmir dispute, stressing that support for the freedom and right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people remained an integral part of the country’s national policy.
He said Pakistan would continue to stand by the Kashmiri people at every level and support their legitimate struggle until the resolution of the longstanding dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Khalid Hussain Magsi said India’s unilateral actions in IIOJK constituted a blatant violation of human rights, international law, the United Nations Charter and the Unitd Nations Security Council resolutions.
The minister said Pakistan would continue to raise the Jammu and Kashmir dispute forcefully at every national and international forum, urging the international community to play its role in ensuring the implementation of United Nations (UN) resolutions and safeguarding the fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s steadfast commitment, he said the country would never retreat from its principled position on the Kashmir issue and would always stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
