ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (APP):Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Khalid Hussain Magsi Wednesday reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promote quality and certified products in Pakistan’s steel sector, in line with the Prime Minister’s vision to ensure the availability of reliable and standard-compliant goods for the public.
A delegation of the Pakistan Association of Large Steel Producers (PALSP) called on the minister to discuss measures aimed at strengthening quality assurance mechanisms and industrial growth.
During the meeting, Khalid Magsi emphasized that only standard-compliant and certified products will be acceptable in the steel industry.
He noted that the promotion of quality standards would not only ensure consumer protection but also boost Pakistan’s exports and industrial competitiveness.
“The stability and progress of national industries remain a top priority of the government,” the minister said, adding that industrial development leads to economic growth and generates employment opportunities.
He reiterated that the government’s ultimate goal is to enhance exports through quality production.
