ISLAMABAD, Jan 23 (APP):Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Wednesday appreciated the resilience of Khadija Siddiqui, the victim of a stabbing incident, who had challenged the acquittal of the accused by the Lahore High Court in the Supreme Court and got justice.
“So happy for #KhadijaTheFighter she made Pak women proud by her resilience…. ” the minister said in a tweet on his social media account.
He said her legal counsel Hassaan Niazi also deserved kudoos for supporting the cause till conclusion.
“@HniaziISF deserves Kudoos for supporting the cause till conclusion…,” Fawad added in his tweet.
It may be mentioned that the apex court on Wednesday overturned the Lahore High Court verdict on acquittal of convict Shah Hussain, who was given five-year imprisonment by a sessions court for stabbing his classmate Khadija Siddqui and ordered his arrest.
