Kazakh PM appreciates Pakistan’s participation in KADEX-2016

ISLAMABAD, June 6 (APP): Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim
Massimov on Monday appreciated the participation of Pakistan in the Kazakhstan Defence Exhibition (KADEX-2016) held in its capital
city Astana from June 2 to 5.

The Kazakh PM, during a meeting with Minister for Defence
Production Rana Tanveer Hussain who led the Pakistani
delegation at the four-day moot, also expressed satisfaction over
bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and
conveyed his country’ desire to further enhance them, said a
PID press release issued here.

Karim exhibited happiness over the Military Technical
Cooperation agreement reached between the countries during the
visit of the Defence Production Minister.

“The Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Defence has been instructed to enhance cooperation with Pakistan meaningfully,” he apprised the minister.

He also underlined the need for increased cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan at regional and international fora.

Inquiring about health of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif,
Karim wished him speedy recovery and good health.
Defence Production Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain thanked the Kazakh
PM for his sentiments and prayers for early recovery of Prime Minister
Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

Rana Tanveer briefed the Kazakh PM about his meeting with Defence
Minister of Kazakhstan Tasmagambetov Imangali Nurgaliyevich.
He conveyed that Pakistan accorded great importance to
its relations with Kazakhstan, emphasizing exchange of high
level defence production delegations between the two countries.

Major General Tariq Ghafoor also attended the meeting.

During the visit, Defence Production Minister Rana
Tanveer Hussain also visited various pavilions of the KADEX
established by Kazakhstan and 40 other participating countries
including Pakistan.

He showed great interest in arms and military equipment by various domestic and foreign manufacturers put on display in the exhibition.

Pakistan’s defence products were showcased at the pavilion set up by the Global Industrial and Defence Solutions (GIDS) – Pakistan’s leading public sector corporate company dealing in export of military, industrial, technological products/systems and services.

A large number of participants visited the GIDS pavilion and expressed keen interest in Pakistan’s Defence products.
