Kashmiris observed Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas’s death anniversary with due respect and honor

MIRPUR [AJK]: Dec 18 (APP):People of Jammu & Kashmir dwelling either side of the line of control and other rest of the world Wednesday observed 52nd death anniversary of eminent Kashmiri leader and Quaid-e-Kashmir Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas with full respect and honour coupled with the renewal of the pledge to continue the mission of the departed Kashmiri leader till the liberation of the occupied part of the Jammu Kashmir state from Indian yoke.

The anniversary was observed with the renewal of the pledge to continue the mission of the pioneers of the Kashmir freedom movement to make the Kashmir freedom movement complete success.

It was gazetted holiday across AJK to mark the death anniversary of the eminent Kashmiri leader of freedom struggle and the first supreme head of the AJK government.

In Mirpur, a special ceremony was held to mark the death anniversary of the departed hero of the Kashmir freedom struggle.

The participants offered fateha for the departed hero of the Kashmir freedom struggle and founder of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Quran Khawani was held in various parts of AJK territory, occupied state and different parts of the country for the departed soul.

Special meetings were held at various places in Azad Jammu Kashmir including Mirpur, Kotli, Muzaffarabad, Bhimber, Bagh, Sudhanoti and Rawalakot under the auspices of the All Jammu Kashmir Muslim Conference to pay tributes to late leader for his remarkable services for the Kashmir freedom movement.

Major ceremony to observe the day was held, at the mazar of late Ch. Ghulam Abbas at Faizabad Rawalpindi December 18 morning under the auspices of Azad Jammu & Kashmir government. Top Kashmiri leaders including AJK President Sardar Masood Khan, Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan, federal minister Azam Khan Swati and former AJK Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, besides others belonging to the Muslim Conference addressed the ceremony.

They paid tributes to the departed Kashmiri leader for his life-time meritorious services for the Kashmir cause based on the freedom of the Indian occupied part of the Jammu and Kashmir State.

A large number of people including the Muslim Conference activists from different parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan visited the mausoleum of late Ch. Ghulam Abbas and offered fateha for the departed soul besides offering special prayer for the early success of the Kashmir freedom movement.
