Kartarpur Corridor is main Gate way of Peace in region: Asad Qaiser

ISLAMABAD, Mar 14 (APP):Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser Thursday said that the recent tension between Pakistan and India was the cheap step of Indian Prime Minister Modi to hijack the Indian general elections while the response of Pakistani political leadership was model of restraint and patience and the whole parliament remained united during this time.
The ever decaying situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) must not be observed just in the context of terrorism because it was an issue of humanitarian values and India was bent upon committing atrocities against Kashmiries in IOK as even the United Nations Council on Human Rights conceded these atrocities as the breach of basic human rights.
“The resolution of Kashmir issue is the key to peace in Sub Continent, the world community cannot avoid this issue as all world community needs to make serious efforts for resolving it”, Asad Qaiser added.
He expressed these views during his meeting with the Ambassador of Argentine Mr.Ivan Ivanissevich who called on him in the Parliament House .
He said that India would continue to face the anger of masses if they continue to damage the honor of IOK women and destroy the life, belongings and integrity of common Kashmiris.
He mentioned that opening of Kartarpur Corridor and releasing the Indian pilot were obvious steps from Pakistani side to maintain peace in the region.
He also termed the Kartapur Corridor as the corridor of peace in the region.
The Speaker mentioned the steps taken by Pakistani government to eliminate terrorism and sustaining peace whereas Pakistan paid a lot of sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
He said that Pakistan and Argentine had always been enjoying close relations which Pakistan always regarded high and he wished to enhance these relations by parliamentary diplomacy and economic cooperation.
He also stressed the need to have inter-parliamentary relationship between both nations because Parliaments could make these relations more solid and sustained.
While stressing the need to increase the trade volume between both nations, the Speaker said that there was an opportunity for both the nations to enhance economic cooperation.
He invited the Argentine businessmen to invest in the Pakistan.
The Ambassador of Argentine, Ivan Ivanissevich appreciated the restraint response of Pakistan in its recent escalation with India and he said that Argentine looked high the efforts of Pakistan to maintain peace in this region.
He also felt gratitude for having Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group in National Assembly of Pakistan and hoped that this forum would provide opportunity for both nations to enhance friendly relations.
He said that Argentine always regarded high its relations with Pakistan and wished to enhance these relations on the basis of trade, economy and social cooperation. He stressed the need to resolve all outstanding issues with dialogue.
