ISLAMABAD, Jun 26 (APP):Mushaal Hussein Mullick, wife of jailed Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, has urged the international community to take meaningful and effective steps to ensure the protection of human rights, justice, and lasting peace in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), saying the timeless message of Karbala continues to inspire oppressed people across the world to stand firm against injustice.
In a special video message issued on the occasion of Muharram-ul-Haram, she said the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) is an eternal symbol of truth, justice, patience, and steadfastness, and remains a guiding light for all those striving for dignity and freedom.
Mushaal Hussein Mullick said the unparalleled sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) represents the highest ideals of courage, righteousness, and unwavering commitment to justice.
She said the message of Karbala transcends time, giving hope and strength to oppressed nations and teaching humanity to resist tyranny with dignity and perseverance.
Referring to the situation in IIOJK, she said the people of Kashmir have been struggling for decades to secure their fundamental rights and justice while enduring immense hardships and sacrifices.
She said Muharram reminds the Muslim Ummah and the wider international community of the need to stand with the oppressed, promote unity, tolerance, and compassion, and uphold justice under all circumstances.
Mushaal Hussein Mullick called on the global community to play a more effective role in ensuring the protection of human rights, justice, and sustainable peace in IIOJK.
