Jinnah Law College students visit Parliament House on study tour
ISLAMABAD, Jul 27 (APP):A 17-member delegation of students from Jinnah Law College, Jhelum, on Monday visited the Parliament House in Islamabad on a study tour, where they were received by officials of the Senate Secretariat.
The delegation visited the Senate Museum and the Senate Hall, where they were briefed on Pakistan’s parliamentary history, the role of the Senate, the legislative process, the functioning of standing committees, and the constitutional responsibilities of senators. The students were also shown a documentary film.
Later, the delegation visited the Constitution Gallery, where they were informed about the Senate’s constitutional role in ensuring equal representation of the federating units. The students asked various questions about the parliamentary system, which were answered comprehensively by the officials.
The students expressed hope that such study tours would play an important role in promoting democratic awareness, enhancing understanding of the parliamentary system, and fostering greater appreciation of national institutions among young people.
