ISLAMABAD, Jan 17 (APP):Jamaat-e-Islami Women Wing (JI Youth) was set to host a “Meena Bazaar” on January 18 (Sunday) at Qazi Farms, Margalla Town, Islamabad.
The event aims to provide young women with a platform to showcase their creative and entrepreneurial skills and to promote their economic empowerment.
The chief guest of the event will be Qudsia Namoos, Nazima of Halqa Khawateen Jamaat-e-Islami Islamabad, while the guest of honor will be Nasrullah Randhawa, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Islamabad.
The Meena Bazaar will feature competitions in calligraphy, painting, drawing, stand-up comedy, henna art, reels, photography, speech, and poster making. Special arrangements, including swings and various game competitions, will also be made for children’s entertainment.
In addition, hardworking and enterprising women running home-based businesses will be provided with an effective platform to showcase and promote their products under one roof.
According to the spokesperson, the main objective of this initiative is to highlight women’s hidden talents and provide them with dignified livelihood opportunities, enabling them to play a positive role in the national economy.
Women-run home-based businesses, including handicrafts, stationery, jewellery, food items, and other business products, will be showcased at dedicated stalls.
The entry fee for the Meena Bazaar will be Rs. 50 per person, and the event will be open to families, especially women. On the occasion, a donation camp will also be set up to support affected families in Gaza by collecting contributions for food, shelter, and basic necessities. A walk in support of Gaza will also be held at 3:00 PM.
