ISLAMABAD, Dec 02 (APP): The Judicial Commission of Pakistan met today, with various compositions, at the Conference Room of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, and made recommendations for key judicial appointments.
The meetings were chaired by the Chief Justice of Pakistan, being its Chairperson.
Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput, Acting Chief Justice, High Court of Sindh was unanimously recommended for appointment as Chief Justice of the High Court of Sindh.
Justice Muhammad Kamran Khan Mulakhail, Acting Chief Justice, High Court of Balochistan, was unanimously recommended for appointment as Chief Justice of the High Court of Balochistan.
Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, Judge, Islamabad High Court/Acting Judge, Supreme Court of Pakistan, was recommended for appointment as Judge, Supreme Court of Pakistan by a majority of the total membership of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan.
The Judicial Commission of Pakistan, by majority of its total membership, constituted a committee comprising Justice Aamer Farooq, Judge, of the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan, Mansoor Usman Awan, Attorney-General for Pakistan, Senator Farooq Hamid Naek, Senator Syed Ali Zafar and Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon, ASC, for making draft rules under clause (20) of Article 175A of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
