Jaffar welcomes deputy, chairman Senate

ISLAMABAD, Mar 12 (APP):Minister of State for Maritime Affairs, Chaudhry Jaffar Iqbal on Monday welcomed the newly-elect deputy chairman and
Chairman for running the affairs of the upper house.
It would be the test for newly-designate chairman to run the working of Upper House, he said while talking to a private news
channel.
Congratulating the people of Balochistan, he said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), never thought about choosing the
person from this province during its previous tenure. He added that the PPP despite holding majority in the House, never focused on selecting the person from the province of Balochistan.
The democracy would run through the votes of people, he added.
He urged the political parties to follow the charter of democracy and strengthen the system.
He said that all the political parties should work for progress and prosperity of the people.
