IWCCI Celebrates 80th Independence Day with Patriotic Family Festival
ISLAMABAD, Aug 15 (APP):The Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI), in collaboration with the Capital Development Authority (CDA), MCI and the 4th Pillar Media Watchdog, organized a family festival to celebrate Pakistan’s 80th Independence Day with national enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
The event was hosted by Zafar Bakhtawari, while Habib Bank Limited (HBL) also participated in the festival. A large number of women, children, families and citizens attended the event.
The festival featured national songs that filled the atmosphere with patriotic fervour. Children dressed in green and white and waved national flags while celebrating Independence Day. A range of recreational activities was also arranged for children and families, who thoroughly enjoyed the festivities.
Speaking on the occasion, IWCCI Chairperson Samina Fazil said that Independence Day reminds the nation to unite and play its role in promoting Pakistan’s development, prosperity, peace and stability.
She emphasized that empowering women is essential for national development and called for greater opportunities for women to participate in economic and business activities.
Samina Fazil also expressed her special appreciation to the CDA for its cooperation and excellent arrangements, saying that its support helped make the Independence Day family festival a successful and memorable event.
The festival also featured a variety of food stalls and special recreational activities for children and families.
Former IWCCI President Farida Rashid, Alia Ikram, Rizwana Asif, Afshan Zeeshan, and Farhat Fatima, President of the 4th Pillar Media Watchdog, were among the prominent personalities attending the event, along with a large number of women, families and citizens.
The participants expressed their best wishes for Pakistan’s development, prosperity, peace and stability and celebrated the country’s 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, national spirit and patriotic fervour.
