ISLAMABAD, Jan 08 (APP):Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Captain (R) Hamzah Humayun presented a specially designed motorcycle to Ghazi ASI Younas Rehman, who lost his leg in the line of duty but continues to serve the public with unwavering commitment.
An ITP official told APP on Thursday that ASI Younas, who sacrificed his leg during duty, underwent a long medical treatment and is now performing duty with a prosthetic limb. Despite his disability, he expressed the desire to work in the field instead of being assigned an office role.
The CTO Hamzah said that after his recovery, ASI Younas was initially posted to the challan branch to ease his duties due to his disability. However, the officer insisted on returning to frontline duty, refusing to let his disability become a barrier to his service.
To support his determination, CTO Hamzah gifted him a special motorcycle designed to meet his mobility needs, enabling him to perform field duty without difficulty. He appreciated ASI Younas’s courage, saying his dedication is a source of pride for the department.
CTO Hamzah added that such brave and committed officers are the real strength of Islamabad Traffic Police. He reaffirmed that ITP will continue to support its officers and ensure they receive every facility necessary to perform their duties with dignity.
