ISLAMABAD, Oct 20 (APP):Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) launched strict enforcement action against traffic violators, targeting helmetless motorcyclists, vehicles without number plates, and those carrying fancy plates.
An official told APP on Monday that Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (R) Hamzah Humayun personally supervised the operation at Faizabad check post, monitoring enforcement teams and ensuring firm action against violators.
The official said that following the expiry of the deadline given to motorists for compliance, ITP has intensified action under its zero-tolerance approach toward traffic violations. These violations not only break the law but also endanger public safety, he added.
He further said that ITP’s enforcement is aimed at protecting lives and ensuring smooth traffic flow across the capital. Citizens were urged to wear helmets, use standard plates, and cooperate with ITP personnel to make roads safer for all.
