ISLAMABAD, Jul 06 (APP):Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) have announced a special traffic plan for the 10th Muharram central procession in Sector F-11, scheduled for Sunday.
A public relations officer told APP that the procession will begin from House No. 366 in Sector F-11/3 and will pass through Halal Road, Major Road, and the shrine of Sakhi Muzammil Shah before culminating at the historic Imambargah in Sector F-11/4.
He said that Halal Road will remain closed to vehicular traffic during the procession.
He said citizens can use the alternate service road of Sector F-11/4 to avoid inconvenience.
He said Major Road from F-10 and Hamza Road towards the F-12 Katchi Abadi area will also be closed for traffic.
He said alternate routes including Nazimuddin Road, Ahmed Faraz Road, and the service road in Sector F-11 can be used by commuters.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (R) Syed Zeeshan Haider has urged citizens to use designated alternate routes during the procession and avoid illegal parking near the procession route.
CTO Zeeshan has also appealed to the public to park vehicles only in the allocated parking areas and cooperate with the Islamabad Traffic Police.
