ITP issues traffic diversion plan for foreign delegations

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued a special traffic diversion plan on key roads of the federal capital in connection with the movement of foreign delegations, advising commuters to use alternate routes and leave at least 20 to 25 minutes earlier to avoid inconvenience.

ISLAMABAD, Jul 20 (APP): Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued a special traffic diversion plan on key roads of the federal capital in connection with the movement of foreign delegations, advising commuters to use alternate routes and leave at least 20 to 25 minutes earlier to avoid inconvenience.
An ITP official told APP on Monday that temporary traffic diversions would be placed on Express Highway, Murree Road, Club Road and Margalla Road to ensure smooth and secure movement of the visiting delegations.
The official urged motorists to cooperate with traffic police personnel and follow the diversion plan for uninterrupted traffic flow.

Express Highway
Temporary traffic diversions will be in place during the movement of foreign delegations. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions of traffic police officials deployed on the route.
Murree Road
Traffic may be diverted for a limited period. Commuters should use alternative routes as directed by traffic police.
Club Road / Serena Chowk
If Serena Chowk is closed, motorists should use Srinagar Highway as an alternate route.
Margalla Road
In case of traffic diversions on Margalla Road, commuters are advised to use Jinnah Avenue.
Daman-e-Koh Road
The road leading to Daman-e-Koh will remain closed for all types of traffic from Daman-e-Koh Chowk until further orders. Citizens have been advised to avoid travelling towards the area.
The official advised commuters to leave 20 to 25 minutes earlier than usual to avoid delays and ensure timely arrival at their destinations.
He said Islamabad Traffic Police officers would remain deployed across the city to facilitate road users and maintain smooth traffic flow.
The official further advised citizens to follow the official Islamabad Police social media platforms for the latest traffic updates and travel advisories.
