ISLAMABAD, Jul 23 (APP):Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued a traffic advisory in connection with the movement of foreign delegations, announcing temporary traffic diversions on key roads of the federal capital and advising commuters to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time.
An ITP official told APP on Thursday that temporary traffic diversions would be imposed at different times on Club Road, Murree Road and the Express Highway to ensure the safe and smooth movement of visiting foreign delegations.
The official urged motorists to use alternate routes wherever necessary and strictly follow the instructions of traffic police personnel deployed on the roads to facilitate uninterrupted traffic flow.
He advised commuters to leave 20 to 25 minutes earlier than their usual travel time to avoid inconvenience during the diversion period.
The official said Islamabad Traffic Police officers would remain present at key intersections and diversion points to guide motorists, regulate traffic and minimize congestion.
He further appealed to the public to cooperate with traffic police and stay updated through the official Islamabad Police social media platforms, where the latest traffic advisories and route updates would be shared regularly for the convenience of commuters.
