ISLAMABAD, Apr 08 (APP):Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Wednesday issued a traffic advisory, informing citizens about strict security arrangements and traffic restrictions in the Red Zone due to movement of foreign delegations.
An ITP official told APP that the Red Zone and its adjoining areas had been closed for all kinds of traffic except official vehicles.
He said citizens were advised to avoid unnecessary travel towards the Red Zone to prevent inconvenience.
The official urged commuters to show patience and cooperate with traffic police during the enforcement of security measures.
He added that Islamabad Traffic Police personnel were present on roads to facilitate and guide the public.
The official said citizens could obtain further updates through ITP’s official WhatsApp channel and social media platforms.
