ITP delivers over 437,000 licensing services in citizen-centric drive

ISLAMABAD, Jul 27 (APP):Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has provided more than 437,000 driving licence-related services to citizens so far this year, reflecting its continued efforts to ensure timely, transparent, paperless and cashless service delivery.
An ITP official told APP on Monday that more than 82,000 learner driving permits had been issued during the period, while over 48,000 driving licences were renewed.
The official said ITP also issued more than 75,000 fresh driving licences, over 4,300 duplicate licences, and processed the conversion and endorsement of more than 7,000 driving licences.
He said the licensing system is being further strengthened through the adoption of modern technology to make services faster, more efficient and convenient for the public.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Kainat Azhar Khan said Islamabad Traffic Police remained committed to providing transparent, high-quality and citizen-friendly services through practical reforms and digital initiatives.
She said modern reforms in the licensing system had significantly improved service standards and made the process easier and more accessible for citizens.
The CTO Kainat urged every eligible citizen to obtain a valid driving licence, carry it while driving and strictly follow traffic laws to ensure safe travel for all road users.
She said Islamabad Traffic Police would continue promoting a safe, well-organised and law-abiding traffic culture through modern service centres, digital facilities and public-friendly initiatives./APP-rzr-mkz
