Islamabad set for major infrastructure boost, says CDA chairman

ISLAMABAD, Nov 05 (APP): The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is pushing ahead with a series of large-scale projects aimed at transforming Islamabad into a “model city,” Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa said on Wednesday.
Speaking at a meeting at CDA headquarters, Randhawa reviewed the authority’s overall performance and the progress of ongoing development initiatives.
He highlighted rapid progress on the T-Chowk Flyover and Shaheen Chowk Underpass projects, which aim to modernize the city’s road network and provide signal-free travel for residents.

Work on residential sector development has also been accelerated to meet the city’s growing housing needs.
Randhawa assured that all necessary resources would be deployed to upgrade Islamabad’s infrastructure to modern standards, stressing that transparency, quality, and high standards would not be compromised.
He instructed that all ongoing projects must be completed within their timelines and called for more effective monitoring to promptly resolve any issues.
The CDA chairman added that the authority will continue regular reviews of development work to ensure timely completion of projects.
