Islamabad International airport launches direct flight to Dammam

ISLAMABAD, Dec 16 (APP):Islamabad International Airport has expanded its international network with the launch of Fly Jinnah’s direct flight to Dammam, marking another milestone in Pakistan Airports Authority’s (PAA) efforts to enhance global connectivity.
The inaugural flight, 9P-710, departed on schedule at 7:55 PM from International Departures Zone-1 (Lounge A-5, Stand-3), carrying 174 passengers. The airline arranged special check-in procedures to celebrate the launch.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Secretary Defence Lt Gen (R) Muhammad Ali and attended by Additional Secretary Defence Maj Gen Qaiser Suleman, Joint Secretary Aviation Ms Shazia Rizvi, Fly Jinnah CEO Mr Armaan Yahya, Islamabad International Airport COO/Airport Manager, and senior officials from airport management and the Airport Security Force.
All operations, including passenger facilitation and security arrangements, were executed smoothly through coordinated efforts, ensuring a successful inaugural departure.
During his visit, the Secretary Defence appreciated the recently upgraded terminal lighting, noting its positive impact on airport aesthetics. The Additional Secretary also praised the fast-track facility dedicated to diplomats, business-class passengers, and dignitaries, calling it a significant enhancement to passenger services.
The Pakistan Airports Authority reaffirmed its commitment to expanding international routes and continuously improving airport infrastructure and services to meet global standards.
