Islamabad Chamber, Business Forum Jeddah sign one-window MoU for overseas Pakistanis

ISLAMABAD, Oct 27 (APP):The Pakistan Business Forum Jeddah (PBFJ) and the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Jeddah aimed at providing a “one-window solution” for overseas Pakistanis to resolve business and real estate-related issues swiftly and effectively.
The signing ceremony was attended by prominent business figures and community leaders. The MoU was signed by ICCI President Sardar Tanveer Mahmood and PBFJ President Aqeel Arain.

Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Tanveer Mahmood said overseas Pakistanis hold a special place in the nation’s heart and that the ICCI is fully committed to facilitating them in all possible ways. He announced the establishment of a one-window platform at the Islamabad Chamber to address overseas Pakistanis’ business and investment concerns on a priority basis.
He added that Pakistan offers numerous investment opportunities, particularly in the real estate sector, where investors can find secure and profitable options. “The ICCI will ensure that all overseas investments are fully protected, as overseas Pakistanis are vital to our economy through remittances and direct business participation,” he said.
PBFJ President Aqeel Arain thanked the ICCI for its cooperation and said the MoU would open new doors for investment in Pakistan. He added that the partnership aims to create a unified platform to address the business challenges and investment barriers faced by overseas Pakistanis.
The event was conducted by Anjum Iqbal, and began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Members of the Pakistan Business Forum’s executive body, including Riaz Ghumman and Chaudhry Amjad, also attended the ceremony. At the conclusion, Chaudhry Riaz Ghumman thanked all guests and participants for their presence.
Meanwhile, Jehangir Khan, a Pakistani told APP through an online link that the agreement is a positive step for overseas Pakistanis. He said it is likely the first such collaboration between the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and the Pakistan Business Forum Jeddah, adding that such initiatives will boost confidence among overseas investors and strengthen Pakistan’s global business outreach.
