Islamabad blast: DC pays visit to PIMS hospital, inquires after health of victims

ISLAMABAD, Feb 06 (APP): Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon paid a visit to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) following the blast reported in the federal capital and inquired after the health of injured patients and reviewed medical arrangements
Senior police officials accompanied the deputy commissioner during the hospital visit. Hospital staff briefed the visiting team on the condition of the injured patients who were shifted to PIMS for treatment after the blast.
The deputy commissioner met the injured persons and inquired about their health. He also spoke with doctors and medical staff to understand the treatment being provided in emergency wards and other units. The visit focused on patient care, availability of medicines, and coordination between hospital management and the administration.
Officials said the deputy commissioner reviewed facilities being provided to the injured, including medical support, diagnostic services, and arrangements inside emergency sections. He directed hospital authorities to ensure uninterrupted treatment for all patients brought in after the blast.
During the visit, the deputy commissioner stressed that no delay should occur in providing medical care. He instructed hospital management to use all available resources to handle the situation and to keep coordination with the district administration and police.
Senior police officers present at the hospital also reviewed security arrangements. They remained in contact with hospital staff to ensure smooth handling of patients and visitors.
Authorities confirmed that monitoring of the situation will continue, and coordination among health, police, and district departments remains in place following the blast.
