ISLAMABAD, July 4 (APP): Minister for Finance Muhammad Ishaq
Dar on Monday phoned the opposition leader in the National Assembly,
Khursheed Shah and informed him about the current status of the
proposal of names for the Election Commission by the Prime Minister
Khursheed Shah told the minister for Finance that on their side the list of proposed names for Election Commission would be finalized after Eid ul Fitr and any time after July 11, the formal exchange of lists of proposed names would be made, said a statement here on Monday.
The two leaders agreed that the process for appointment of the members Election Commission would be completed soon after Eid.
It may be mentioned that former member’s contract has already
expired on June 10.
