ISLAMABAD, Jul 16 (APP): Advisor to the Prime Minister on
National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui Saturday said Turkish nation, government and opposition had shown unity to foil military coup.
Turkish nation had given strong answer to dictators and it
would raise the courage and moral of other nations to support democracy as the continuity of the system bring development and prosperity despite all weaknesses, he said while talking to PTV.
He said there was no divivde among the Turkish
government, opposition and people to protect democracy.
Irfan Siddiqui said democracy cannot be removed with guns and tanks.
He said Pakistan was enjoying good cordial relations with
Turkey. Islamic countries were getting stable as economy is improving with strengthening of democracy, adding such attempts of military coup would weaken the democratic system.
He lauded the Turkish people resistance to foil military coup.
Replying to a question, he said Pakistan army leadership had been supporting democratic system in the country.
He said some nefarious elements were working against the democary to come into power through back doors.
