ISLAMABAD, Apr 22 (APP): Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to discuss the evolving regional situation and ongoing peace efforts.
The meeting came after US President Donald Trump announced an extension of the ceasefire at Pakistan’s request, raising hopes for stability in the region.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a post on X, expressed optimism that all sides would continue to uphold the ceasefire and work toward a comprehensive peace agreement. He also expressed the hope that the second round of talks, scheduled to be held in Islamabad, would lead to a permanent resolution of the conflict.
