IPP to fully participate in AJK elections

ISLAMABAD, Jun 23 (APP):Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) has decided to fully participate in the upcoming elections of Azad Kashmir and has initiated the process of finalizing its election preparations and strategy.
In this regard, an important consultative meeting was held attended by Secretary General of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party Mian Khalid Mehmood, Punjab President Rana Nazir Ahmad Khan and other Central and Provincial leaders.
Detailed discussions were held on the electoral landscape of Azad Kashmir and Punjab’s 12 seats including organizational matters, selection of candidates and various aspects of the election campaign.
During the meeting, comprehensive recommendations were prepared and submitted to President Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party Abdul Aleem Khan for approval and further policy direction. The participants of the meeting expressed their resolve that the IPP would field its candidates in the Azad Kashmir elections and present a positive, constructive and people-friendly political leadership to the public.
It was also decided that strong, capable and publicly supported candidates will be nominated for the 12 seats of Punjab. The party leadership of IPP directed all organizational wings, including the Women’s Wing to further intensify their activities for the Azad Kashmir elections and to strengthen public outreach campaigns in an effective manner.
While addressing the meeting, IPP Secretary General Mian Khalid Mehmood and Punjab President Rana Nazir Ahmad Khan said that after the party’s notable success in Gilgit-Baltistan, a similar strong performance would now be seen in the valleys of Kashmir. They stated that people across the country are expressing confidence in the party’s manifesto, leadership and vision of public service.
The leaders further said that success in the Azad Kashmir elections would strengthen the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party and help transform it into a truly nationwide political force.
The meeting also expressed full confidence in the leadership of Party President Abdul Aleem Khan and unanimously passed a resolution congratulating the party on its recent political achievements in Gilgit Baltistan.
