Int’l Day for Volunteers observed

SARGODHA, Dec 8 (APP): National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) in collaboration with the Punjab Emergency Service organized a programme in connection with the ‘International day for volunteers’ here on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, DCO Saqib Manaan said only those nations succeed in the world which pay attention towards deprived or helpless people in their surrounding without thinking about a reward.He said that a volunteer had a major role in developed countries
as a volunteer address the local issues regarding health, education and so many other issues.”It is our prime responsibility to work for society as a volunteer as it was the most satisfactory work for a reward from Almighty Allah, the DCO said.DGM NCHD Mahr Umer Daraz said that role of a volunteer should be appreciated to encourage the people to join this noble community.Among the other participants were District Emergency Officer Dr Mazhar Shah, District Program manager education Nazar Shah, various volunteers and officials of NCHD and Rescue 1122.
