Interior minister urges students to use capabilities for country’s progress, prosperity

PESHAWAR, Feb 23 (APP):State Minister for Interior, Shehryar Afridi Saturday urged girl students to utilize their abilities and energies to lead the country on a course of prosperity and progress.He was addressing the annual prize distribution ceremony in Jinnah College for Women in University of Peshawar.

He said that country needs the capabilities and energies of students to achieve a prominent position among comity of nations. He said that our religion has given equal right to women owing to their significance in our social edifice adding it is Muslims who highlighted the position of women and accepted their rights as an equal member of the society.

Interior Minister said that millions of people are living in India on roads in miserable conditions but on the contrary its war fanaticism was growing day by day. He said that India has started persecution of Muslims in held Kashmir by committing brutal atrocities.

He said that if India has proofs of Pakistan involvement in Pulwama attack, it should present them rather making baseless allegations.
He said that Pakistan has firm belief in peace as war would serve nothing but will humiliate humanity.

He said that we are in a war like situation from 1979 and also know merits and demerits of hostilities maintaining that we would not budge from our resolve to defend the security and sovereignty of our country.
