ISLAMABAD, Oct 26 (APP):Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday paid tribute to Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed, recipient of Nishan-e-Haider, on his 78th martyrdom anniversary, recalling his role in stopping the enemy’s advance on the Pir Kalewa front in 1948.
The minister said Naik Saif Ali Janjua had written an unforgettable chapter in history by resisting the enemy’s attack and setting an example of courage and bravery.
Naqvi said the sacrifices of martyrs were an important part of the country’s national history. He added that those who laid down their lives in defence of the homeland were the nation’s true heroes.
The interior minister said the sacrifice made by Naik Saif Ali Janjua would continue to serve as an example for generations to come. He said the soldier’s firm commitment to sacrificing his life for the country remained alive and continued to inspire the nation.
Naqvi said Naik Saif Ali Janjua’s sacrifice continued to give determination and strength to the spirit of every soldier.
He said servicemen such as Naik Saif Ali Janjua were a source of pride for Pakistan’s armed forces.
The minister said the name of Naik Saif Ali Janjua would always remain alive in the country’s history.
On the occasion of his 78th martyrdom anniversary, the interior minister reiterated that the sacrifices of those who gave their lives for the country would continue to inspire future generations and strengthen the resolve of the armed forces to defend the homeland.
