ISLAMABAD, Oct 27 (APP):On the occasion of Kashmir Black Day, Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and paid rich tribute to Kashmiri martyrs, Hurriyat leaders, prisoners, and oppressed families who have stood firm against Indian tyranny.
“We salute the Kashmiri martyrs, Hurriyat leaders, prisoners, and the families who have never bowed before Indian oppression,” said Naqvi. “October 27 marks the darkest chapter in history — the day when India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.”
The Interior Minister condemned India’s continued atrocities, state terrorism, and human rights violations in the occupied valley, saying that since 1947, Indian forces have turned Kashmir into a torture chamber.
“Pellet guns, enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and the humiliation of women reveal the horrifying face of Indian brutality,” he remarked. “Despite losing thousands of young lives, the Kashmiris’ spirit for freedom remains unbroken.”
Naqvi highlighted that media blackouts, internet shutdowns, and military sieges have transformed the valley into a prison where every voice of dissent is silenced. He criticized the international community’s silence, calling it a serious question mark on global justice and human rights advocacy.
“United Nations resolutions clearly affirm the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination,” he said. “By defying these resolutions, India has violated international law and trampled on the sanctity of humanity.”
Recalling the words of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Naqvi said: “Kashmir is Pakistan’s jugular vein — not merely a statement, but a reflection of our national identity.”
He reiterated that the resolution of the Kashmir dispute lies only in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and UN resolutions.
“Pakistan will continue its political, diplomatic, and moral support for the Kashmiri cause at every international forum,” the minister vowed. “This struggle against oppression beats in the heart of Pakistan — Kashmir will become Pakistan.”
