ISLAMABAD, Feb 02 (APP):Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has lauded the security forces, police, and intelligence agencies for eliminating 22 militants linked with the group referred to as “Fitna-e-Hindustan” during a major counterterrorism operation in Balochistan.
In a statement on Monday, the minister said the timely and effective action of the security apparatus had successfully foiled a significant terrorist plot aimed at destabilising the province. He praised the professionalism and coordination displayed by the security forces throughout the operation.
“I pay tribute to our security forces for their successful action against these terrorists and their facilitators,” Naqvi said, adding that the nation takes pride in the courage and sacrifice of its armed personnel.
Reaffirming the government’s resolve, the interior minister vowed that all elements associated with “Fitna-e-Hindustan” would be completely eliminated. “We will go to the last extent to ensure lasting peace in Balochistan,” he said.
Officials say security operations will continue across the province to dismantle remaining militant networks and prevent further attempts at creating unrest.
