Indian unilateral actions cannot crush Kashmiris’ spirit of freedom: Aleem Khan
ISLAMABAD, Aug 4 (APP):Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), declaring that India’s illegal actions will never succeed in extinguishing the Kashmiris’ unyielding spirit of freedom.
In a special message issued on the eve of Youm-e-Istehsal (Day of Exploitation), the minister termed August 5, 2019, a grim chapter in history, noting that India’s unilateral decision to revoke the special status of IIOJK was a deliberate attempt at demographic change.
He stated that the move was aimed at converting the Kashmiri majority into a minority on their native land by allowing outsiders to acquire property.
Aleem Khan highlighted that the ongoing oppression stems from the controversial October 1947 “accession,” which denied Kashmiris their fundamental right to self-determination. He emphasized that despite decades of state-sponsored tyranny, curfews, and lockdowns, India has failed to suppress the Kashmiri freedom struggle.
Reassuring the Kashmiri people, the federal minister said that every citizen and institution of Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with them in their struggle.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to extend unreserved moral, political, and diplomatic support to IIOJK until the dispute is resolved in accordance with the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Expressing firm resolve, he asserted that the realization of the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination remains inevitable.
