ISLAMABAD, Sep 26 (APP): Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid Monday said the policies of current Indian government had isolated it morally in the world.
Talking to a private news channel, he questioned how a country could get permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council and become a member of Nuclear Supplier Group by threatening to break Indus Water Treaty and using pellet guns against innocent Kashmiris.
The minister said after India’s statement on Indus Water Treaty, international community could not trust as it did not honor its agreements signed with others.
He said this statement had badly exposed Indian policies.
He said Modi government was causing damage to its country and their claim of world’s largest democracy was not matching to their acts.
The minister said the Indian government was frustrated from
the indigenous independence movement of Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination.
Pervaiz Rashid said India had failed to deliver the masses and voices were also raising by its people against the government.
The minister said it was the responsibility of the people of India and all peace loving countries to urge Indian government to stop aggression.
He said National Assembly and Senate were appropriate forums for politicians to discuss all issues of national importance and to develop consensus.
All political parties were on same page regarding Kashmir issue and they had showed unity against Indian aggression on the longstanding issue, he added.
The minister said Kashmir valley had been made a no-go area by Indian government and international organizations were not allowed to go there to find facts or to provide medical facilities to the victims of Indian brutalities.
He said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had vigorously taken up the Kahsmir issue at UNGA and highlighted Indian atrocities in occupied valley before the world.
