ISLAMABAD, Aug 13 (APP): Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan Nasar has extended his heartfelt felicitations to the nation on Independence Day, saying that August 14 is a reminder of the sacrifices of our forefathers and a day to renew our commitment to Pakistan’s security, sovereignty, progress and prosperity.
He said that Pakistan was achieved through the immense sacrifices of millions of people under the visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
He paid rich tribute to the martyrs, Armed Forces and security institutions for their sacrifices in defending the country.
Syedaal Khan Nasar said that political stability, national unity, constitutional supremacy, democratic continuity and respect for institutions are essential for Pakistan’s development.
He called upon all political forces and national institutions to promote dialogue, tolerance and consensus in the larger national interest.
He emphasized that the youth are Pakistan’s greatest asset and must be equipped with quality education, modern skills, technology and employment opportunities to play their role in national development.
The Deputy Chairman reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the legitimate rights of the Kashmiri and Palestinian peoples and called for justice and fundamental rights for oppressed peoples.
He urged the nation to rise above personal and political interests, remain united and work collectively to build a strong, stable, peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.
