IMDC completes first clinical AI certificate programme

Islamabad Medical & Dental College (IMDC) has completed the inaugural cohort of its Clinical AI Healthcare Certificate Programme, aimed at strengthening the use of artificial intelligence in medical education and healthcare in Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 07 (APP): Islamabad Medical & Dental College (IMDC) has completed the inaugural cohort of its Clinical AI Healthcare Certificate Programme, aimed at strengthening the use of artificial intelligence in medical education and healthcare in Pakistan.
The programme has received endorsement from the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC), while Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) has reaffirmed its commitment to a long-term academic partnership with IMDC in AI education, research and innovation.
Conducted in collaboration with SZABMU, the four-week, weekend-based programme brought together 24 medical and dental students and healthcare professionals.
The 10-credit-hour course focused on practical applications of artificial intelligence in healthcare, providing participants with exposure to emerging AI tools and their potential applications in clinical and healthcare settings.
Building on the initiative, IMDC is advancing its Center for AI in Healthcare to promote next-generation education, applied research and innovation.
The initiative is aimed at preparing healthcare professionals to understand and responsibly apply AI technologies in medical and healthcare systems.
