ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (APP):The College Students Council of IMCG (PG) Margalla F-7/4 on Friday organized a lecture on Corporal Punishment and Child Abuse to raise awareness among teachers and staff about child protection and positive discipline.
The lecture was delivered by the Principal, Ayesha Kayani (MPhil Psychology), who shared her views on creating a respectful and supportive learning environment.
The session began at 9:30 a.m. and was attended by all faculty members. Kayani discussed the responsibilities of teachers while dealing with students and emphasized the need to replace punitive actions with constructive guidance.
She explained how corrective methods could help address students’ behavioral issues and contribute to their emotional growth and development. She also spoke about setting clear rules and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintaining discipline and ensuring a safe atmosphere in educational institutions.
The event concluded with appreciation for the College Students Council for arranging the session and for the Principal’s valuable guidance on promoting a child-friendly environment in schools.
