Illegal Afghan migrants: daily operations continue, citizens asked to report on 051-9108084

ISLAMABAD, Mar 19 (APP):The district administration has continued daily operations against illegal Afghan migrants and urged citizens to report any such cases on the control room number 051-9108084, assuring that informants’ identities will remain confidential.
The issue of the repatriation of illegal Afghan migrants from Pakistan remains under focus, with the Islamabad administration stepping up enforcement and public coordination.
Officials said actions are being carried out on a daily basis to identify and take action against individuals staying in the country without legal documents.
In a public appeal, the district administration asked residents to cooperate by sharing information about any illegal Afghan migrants in their surroundings. Citizens have been directed to contact the control room immediately if they notice any such cases, adding that all reports will be handled discreetly and the identity of the caller will not be disclosed.
Authorities also warned that providing any kind of support to illegal migrants is a violation of the law. This includes offering accommodation, employment, or business opportunities. Officials said strict legal action will be taken against those found involved in facilitating illegal stay.
According to the administration, if any Afghan national is found working at a business, the owner of the establishment will face legal proceedings. Similarly, if an illegal migrant is found residing in a house, the property owner will also be booked under relevant laws.
Officials emphasized that these measures are part of ongoing efforts to enforce regulations and maintain official records of residents in the capital. They added that public cooperation is necessary to ensure implementation.
The administration reiterated its request to citizens to support the ongoing operations by reporting information through the official helpline.
