Ijaz Shah terms hosting of OIC’s foreign minister session as a great achievement

NANKANA, Dec 24 (APP):Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Ijaz Ahmed Shah Friday termed the hosting of extraordinary session of Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC) foreign minister by Pakistan after 41 years as a great achievement.

Talking to media, he said that peace and development in Afghanistan is beneficial for the whole world.

He said the OIC Foreign Ministers’ session had drawn world’s attention to looming humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.

The whole world could be affected by the situation in Afghanistan, he said, adding that the United States has eased sanctions on Afghanistan after the OIC session.

Federal Minister also distributed Christmas ration among the deserving members of Christian community in Nankana Sahib.

He also cut the Christmas cake with the Christian leaders and wished them a Merry Christmas.

Ijaz Shah said in Pakistan, believers of all religions are enjoying complete freedom to celebrate their religious festivals.

He added the government was ensuring best arrangements for celebrating religious festivals of minority communities.
