ISLAMABAD, Sep 25 (APP): The Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority (IHRA) has carried out sealing operations against unqualified and illegal healthcare practices in B-17, I-14 and G-8 as part of its efforts to protect public health and enforce healthcare standards.
The enforcement action was conducted on Friday against healthcare practices operating in violation of applicable regulatory requirements, the IHRA said.
The authority said such enforcement activities were aimed at curbing quackery and substandard healthcare practices and ensuring that citizens have access to safe and quality healthcare services.
The IHRA reiterated its commitment to taking action against illegal and unqualified healthcare practices in Islamabad to safeguard patients and uphold prescribed healthcare standards.
Meanwhile, as part of the ongoing licensing process and on the directions of the Registration Board, the IHRA conducted a training session for the second pool of assessors.
The training focused on the Minimum Service Delivery Standards (MSDS) indicators and the Digital Assessment System to equip assessors with the knowledge and skills required to conduct standardized assessments of Healthcare Establishments (HCEs).
The authority said the training would help ensure consistency, transparency and efficiency in the assessment process as healthcare facilities undergo licensing evaluations.
The assessors will conduct licensing assessments of healthcare establishments against prescribed MSDS indicators, supporting IHRA’s efforts to improve compliance, quality of care and patient safety in Islamabad.
