ISLAMABAD, Jan 12 (APP):The Islamabad High Court Bar Association (IHCBA) Monday expressed satisfaction over the transfer of the Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) to the new building and has also expressed its best wishes.
Secretary IHCBA Manzoor Ahmed Jaja said that we request to the Chief Justice of Pakistan that benches be set up in the Supreme Court registries as it will ease the people.
He said that the Supreme Court should form benches in its registries on a rotation basis after every three months. The people should get justice at their doorstep.
He said that this will also make it easier for lawyers and litigants and reduce expenses. Earlier, the number of cases in the Supreme Court was high, but now it has decreased after the Constitutional Court.
He urged the Chief Justice and the government to expand the Supreme Court building. The Islamabad High Court Bar Association demands that the Ministry of Law, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Planning take steps in this regard, he added. After the building expansion, the Federal Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court should be moved to one building.
