ISLAMABAD, Dec 9 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday stopped the Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) operation in Muslim Colony, a slum ares in the federal capital.
Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas also sought a response from the CDA regarding the ongoing operation.
During the hearing, the lawyer of the petitioner, Sardar Abdul Raziq Advocate, appeared in the court and took the position that thousands of people live in the slums area near Bari Imam, which has been established since 1960. The Supreme Court has directed to form a mechanism regarding slums, he said, adding that the Muslim Colony includes the areas of Noorpur and Bari Imam.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case until December 16.
