IHC serves notices to respondents in plea for recovery of missing student

ISLAMABAD, Jul 11 (APP): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday served notices to respondents in a petition seeking recovery of a missing student of Quaid-e-Azam University.
Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas heard the case, the court also terminated the objections of the Registrar’s Office on the petition filed for the recovery of Saeedullah.
During the hearing on the petition with the objection of the Registrar’s Office yesterday, lawyers Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chathaa appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner Jahanzeb Khan and took the position that a passerby can also file an enforced disappearance petition. The objection of the Registrar’s Office is unnecessary.
The court dismissed the objections of the Registrar’s Office and issued notices to the parties, seeking their responses, and adjourned the hearing.
The parties to the petition are the federal government, the Ministry of Defense, FIA, IG Islamabad, CTD, SHO of Noon Police Station and Quaid-e-Azam University.
