ISLAMABAD, Feb 06 (APP): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday instructed the authorities to verify the police clearance certificate obtained from the United Arab Emirates presented by the citizen.
The court has directed the Deputy Attorney General to get the certificate verified by the UAE authorities through the embassy. Chief Justice Sarfaraz Dogar issued a written order for hearing on the application to remove the name of citizen Irshad Hussain from the Passport Control List.
According to the court, before deciding the case on merit, it is necessary to check whether the police clearance certificate presented by the citizen is genuine or not. The court has directed the Deputy Attorney General to get the certificate verified by the UAE authorities through the embassy.
The Islamabad High Court clarified that after verification from the UAE authorities through the embassy, a detailed report in this regard should be submitted to the court before the next hearing.
The petitioner, citizen Irshad Hussain, had presented the police clearance certificate obtained from the UAE authorities in the court, on the basis of which the court issued the above orders.
The citizen has approached the court to get his name removed from the Passport Control List.
