IHC seeks arguments on contempt case against Chairman CDA

ISLAMABAD, Feb 13 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday sought arguments on CDA’s comments against show-cause notices in a contempt of court case for carrying operating in the area of Noorpur Shahan in Islamabad instead of making it a model village.
 The Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Director General (DG) Enforcement and Director Enforcement have submitted their responses against the the court’s show cause notice.
Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas heard the contempt of court petition. Lawyers Riasat Ali Azad, Qaiser Imam and others appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioners.
The petitioner’s lawyer said that the High Court ordered the construction of Noorpur Shahan as a model village in June 2025, and instead of implementing the court order, the CDA started operations there.
The Chairman CDA, DG Enforcement and Director Enforcement have submitted their responses to the court’s show cause notice.
The court expressed its anger at the DG Enforcement CDA and said that this is your new career. You don’t know what contempt of court is. It is the court’s job to implement the High Court’s order, it asked.
The court adjourned the hearing for two weeks, seeking arguments from the parties in response to the show cause notice.
