The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday restrained the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from arresting PTI activist Seemabia Tahir in a case registered under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and issued notices to the agency seeking its response.

ISLAMABAD, Jun 10 (APP): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday restrained the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from arresting PTI activist Seemabia Tahir in a case registered under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and issued notices to the agency seeking its response.
Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro heard the pre-arrest bail application filed by Simabia Tahir. She appeared before the court along with her lawyers. The counsel submitted that the FIA has registered a case against her under PECA and there is apprehension of her arrest.
The court granted interim bail to Seemabia Tahir until the next hearing and issued notices to the FIA seeking its response. The hearing of the case was adjourned until June 17.
