IHC removes objections on PTI founder, Bushra Bibi’s appeal

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday accepted a miscellaneous petition seeking to remove the objections of the Registrar Office regarding the late filing of appeals against the conviction of the founder of PTI and Bushra Bibi in the Tosha Khana II case. 

ISLAMABAD, Mar 12 (APP): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday accepted a miscellaneous petition seeking to remove the objections of the Registrar Office regarding the late filing of appeals against the conviction of the founder of PTI and Bushra Bibi in the Tosha Khana II case.
The court ordered the office to assign numbers to the appeals and scheduled them for hearing.
Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro heard the petition seeking to remove the objection regarding the late filing of the appeals of the PTI founder and Bushra in the Tosha Khana II case. Barrister Salman Safdar, the lawyer of the petitioners, appeared before the court. The PTI founder’s sister Aleema Khan, Salman Akram Raja and others were present in the court.
Barrister Salman Safdar said that yesterday we expected that we would get some relief in Ramazan, we met with the Chief Justice after a long time.
Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro remarked that in the appeal, the lawyer does not need a power of attorney. Barrister Salman Safdar said that you are saying this, but the circuit branch does not listen to it.
Barrister Salman Safdar requested that if the court grants a future date, the court said that your appeal is being heard every week, you have no problem from here.
The court directed the registrar office to fix the appeals for hearing while removing the objections.
